Presidents Corner

To all of the Rock hounds:

Our summer break is almost here, only one activity night and a potluck left in June.  We will have our summer break, a time when all can fill their pockets with lots of rocks from all of the field trips taken this summer.  This month we will be collecting $1.00 for the picnic if you plan to attend.  The site will be a Bille Park again, (Thank you Bob).  You can pick from the gourmet prepared choices that Ron Bryning will offer; hamburger, hot dog and some veggie type burgers.  Everyone may bring a dish just like at the potlucks.  Bring a rock for the exchange table, bring a rock and get a rock.  Bring $$$’s to bid at the auction and any items you would like to donate to the auction.  This year we have a special local field trip planned for after the picnic in August.  About 4:00p.m. We can go to a site that Manuel Garcia will be telling us more about during the June meetings.  Hope to see you all in June and then at the picnic in August.  Questions about the picnic and field trip after please call me 877-2271 or Ron 873-4348.

The second Thursday of each month is Activity Night where members and visitors can get hands-on experience in lapidary, beading, wire wrapping, and much more. Put those buckets of collected rocks to use! Bring your slabs and beads or just your questions and imagination and learn to make something wonderful. Visitors Welcome!
